We believe privacy should be simple and honest. Pop Up LA Events is built on a single principle: we do not collect, store, or sell your personal information.

1. Our Core Commitment

✅ Pop Up LA Events does not collect, store, or sell any personal user data.

Pop Up LA Events is an event discovery and lifestyle app. We are committed to giving you a full-featured experience without collecting your personal information. We do not create user accounts, we do not build user profiles, and we do not track your behavior across apps or websites.

2. What We Do Not Collect

We do not collect any of the following:

Your name, email address, or contact information
Your Apple ID or any account credentials
Device identifiers or advertising IDs
Browsing history or behavioral tracking data
Purchase history or financial information
Persistent location history
Any data for advertising or marketing purposes

3. Location (Optional)

If you grant location permission, your location is used only within your active app session to show you nearby events and places of interest. Your location is never transmitted to our servers, never stored, and never shared with any third party.

You may revoke location permission at any time in your iPhone Settings → Privacy & Security → Location Services.

4. Skin Health Analyzer — Facial Data

Our app includes an optional AI-powered Skin Health Analyzer. This feature is entirely voluntary — you must actively choose to open and use it. All other app features work completely without it.

How it works:

When you use the Skin Analyzer, your facial image and derived skin metrics are transmitted to Perfect Corp‘s AI platform. Perfect Corp’s AI processes your image and returns a skin health analysis (hydration, texture, tone, pore analysis, etc.) directly to you within the app. This is the sole purpose of the transmission — to generate your personal results and display them to you.

We do not collect this data.

We do not receive, store, or have access to your facial image or skin metrics. The data flows directly between your device and Perfect Corp’s AI service. We never see it.

Data retention — 24 hours maximum:

Facial data is held for a maximum of 24 hours by Perfect Corp’s processing system — the minimum time needed to reliably return your results during your session. Every day at 12:00 AM midnight Pacific Standard Time (PST), a batch deletion request is sent to permanently and irrevocably delete all facial data processed in the prior 24-hour period. Facial data is never stored indefinitely. No persistent biometric profiles, facial templates, or long-term records are ever created.

Third-party sharing:

The only third party involved in facial data processing is Perfect Corp (perfectcorp.com). Facial data is used solely to run the AI skin analysis and return your results. Perfect Corp does not use facial data for advertising, user profiling, identification, or any purpose beyond performing the analysis you requested. No other third parties — including advertisers, analytics providers, or data brokers — receive any facial data.

Anonymization:

Facial data is processed anonymously. It is never linked to your name, email, Apple ID, device identifier, or any other information that could identify you as an individual.

5. Cookies and Tracking

We do not collect cookies or track users. Cookie collection has been fully disabled in the current version of the app. No tracking data is collected, stored, or shared. We do not use App Tracking Transparency because no user tracking of any kind occurs.

If we introduce advertising in a future version, we will implement full App Tracking Transparency consent before any tracking occurs, and this privacy policy will be updated accordingly prior to that release.

6. We Do Not Sell Your Data

✅ Pop Up LA Events does not sell, rent, trade, or share personal user data with any third party for commercial purposes — ever.

The only third-party data interaction that occurs in this app is the optional Skin Analyzer feature described in Section 4, which is voluntary, anonymous, and automatically deleted within 24 hours.

7. Security

All data transmissions within the app use encrypted HTTPS/TLS connections. Because we do not collect or store personal data, the risk surface for a data breach affecting you is minimal by design.

8. Children’s Privacy

Pop Up LA Events is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect any information from children under 13. If you believe a child has used the Skin Analyzer feature, please contact us immediately at the address below and we will ensure all related data is deleted.

9. Your Rights

Because we do not collect your personal data, there is nothing to request deletion of from our systems. However you retain the following rights:

Revoke location permission at any time in iOS Settings
Choose not to use the Skin Analyzer feature at any time
Contact us with any questions or concerns about data handling
Request confirmation that your data has been deleted if you used the Skin Analyzer

10. Changes to This Policy

This Privacy Policy may be updated to reflect changes in our app features or legal requirements. When material changes are made, the “Last updated” date at the top of this page will be revised. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.

Do you store facial images from the Skin Analyzer?

We do not receive or store facial images. Facial data is processed directly by Perfect Corp’s AI and is permanently deleted every day at midnight PST via an automatic batch deletion — a maximum of 24 hours after processing. No persistent facial profiles are ever created.

Why is facial data stored for up to 24 hours?

The 24-hour window is the minimum time needed to reliably return your skin analysis results during your session. Every day at 12:00 AM midnight PST, all facial data from the prior 24 hours is permanently and automatically deleted. It is never kept longer than this.

Who receives my facial data?

Only Perfect Corp (perfectcorp.com), our AI skin analysis provider. They process your facial data solely to generate your skin health results and return them to you. No advertisers, data brokers, or other third parties receive your facial data.

Is the Skin Analyzer mandatory?

No. The Skin Analyzer is entirely optional. All other app features — event discovery, prayer times, places — work completely independently without any facial data being involved.

Do you track me with cookies?

No. Cookie collection is fully disabled in the current version of the app. No tracking data is collected or shared. We do not use App Tracking Transparency because no user tracking occurs.

Do you sell my data?

No. We do not sell, rent, trade, or share your personal data with any third party for commercial purposes.

Is my location stored?
