Grand Park’s free nine-day program transforms downtown Los Angeles into a place of remembrance with 19 community and artist-created ofrendas, a public community altar, music, art and family activities rooted in Indigenous Mexican traditions. The opening celebration includes a sacred procession, blessings, mariachi, folklórico, face painting and sugar-skull workshops, while the closing Noche de los Muertos adds evening performances, a makers’ mercado and glowing altars.
